BioIf the sky is clear, I can see the windmills from the rooftop of my building. I stand there by the railing and watch them spin, and if I listen closely, I can almost hear the whoosh of air sliding past them.
My skirt flaps around my legs, and any other time, I would have made some attempt to hold it down, to make sure as little skin as possible is shown, but right now, I feel so bare and vulnerable, that I might as well be naked anyway.
The windmills creak. I hear them deep inside the recesses of my mind. I wonder if the wind ever dies down. What happens when the mills stop?
